april showers

nothing about this post will really be about april or showers (except for this sentence, and the fact that this is my first april 2012 post), but i needed a title.

how did march whoosh right by?! how!?!?
i suppose there was that whole week-long ski vacation with my loyal reader (hi!) and the ladies. per usual, wyoming was awesome... even if we missed the snow by a day on either side of the trip. BUT, the tetons + targhee + lemon drops is always a recipe for fun, so i'll take it. oh right, and good company.

BUT... being away from a quickly warming spring in atlanta makes it tough on that whole "cycling training"... i missed that entire one week between spring and what now feels like summer, you know - that week when it's actually pleasant outside, before the pollen counts are >8,000 and temperatures are over 50, but under 80?

ed. note: SO... it is actually NOW may... as in, a week before the ride, and i realized i a. never finished this post, b. never really kept writing... and c. HOLY SHIT IT'S MAY. so i'm just going to go ahead and post this, and put in one last post before the big ride! here are some pictures instead...how's that?
