playing catch up

oh hello there... was i writing a blog? i can't even remember since it's been THAT LONG. (there's a reason the "complete things you start" goal is still unfinished... but then one can argue, IS A BLOG EVER FINISHED? ohhh, i'll find an excuse for anything) i can't believe it's been more than a year since the last post, and seeing as how that's the case... there's been 2 Chang Family Western Adventures (CFWA for short) since then, a handful of other trips, the 2013 ride, all of the training (or lack thereof for the 2013 ride), new friends, lost friends, new life changes (for other people that peripherally affect me), etc. etc. etc. basically... may 2012-july 2013 has been really busy. (it's also a little tragic that my personal life runs on the academic calendar as well... *sigh*) i'll fill in the blanks later and back date those posts (eventually) and maybe even throw up a few key pics (there are some good ones w/ momma & poppa chang from hawaii), but in the meantime... guess who's the new ride director for the AV200?! right. SO basically, Greg & Chris asked, i thought they were joking, turns out they weren't, i made Chris sweat it out a bit, and then in a moment of weakness i said "yes". (we know how i feel about commitment... this is like practice for engagement or something ;)) i'm actually really excited about the challenge and can't wait to put "our stamp" on the 2014 ride... big things to come, hopefully... and most importantly, i'm hopeful that this will be the "best ride yet" and i won't F it up for next year. so if i remember to, and as long as i'm not completely overwhelmed... you all know where to keep up with my antics (FB...twitter...) and rambly complaints/thoughts (here). in other news, i will really TRULY not have a life starting... oh, a month ago. this worries exactly 3 people... my mom, my brother, and myself. *sigh*
